DOGANBEY, Turkey (October 11, 2000) Marines from Golf Company, Battalion Landing Team 2/2, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), move towards the rocky shoreline of blue beach during the Combat Enhancement Training phase of exercise Destined Glory 2000. Golf Company's objective was to secure terrain to allow for a rapid buildup of reinforcements ashore. Elements of the United Kingdom, Germany, United States, Italian, Spanish, Greek and Turkish air, naval and land forces are taking part in the exercise.

DOGANBEY, TURKEY -- Marines from 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) Battalion Landing Team 2/2 Fox Company's First Platoon quickly board a CH-53E Super Stallion after successfully completing a Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel (TRAP) mission here. During the simulated TRAP, the Marines landed, secured the area and rescued two downed pilots in less than five minutes.

Elements of the United Kingdom, Germany, United States, Italian, Spanish, Greek and Turkish air, naval and land forces are taking part in the exercise.
